People in their daily life use yoga as a tool for relaxation, happiness and also to develop a healthy lifestyle. It is a combination of stretches, warm-up and cool down exercises, breathing and relaxation techniques whilst following the instructions of a professional yogi.
The Sun Siyam Iru Fushi offers unique Yoga Lessons overlooking breathtaking views. The stunning views will enrich and enlighten everyone who partakes in it. Yoga classes cater to beginners, intermediates and advanced. On offer are Sunset Group Yoga 1 hour including Yoga Pranayama Meditation and also Vinyasa Yoga where one will coordinate movement with breath to flow from one pose to next.
Mr. Joji Chacko who hails from India is the Fitness Manager and has 10 years of experience in this field. Since 2012 he has been working in The Sun Siyam Iru Fushi Maldives and is responsible for gym, yoga, Pranayama, Meditation, Pilates and tennis among others.
It was in his native country that he has accomplished most of his yoga and gym courses. In 2004 he completed the certificate course of Physical Education Gym Instructor at YMCA College. He continued to pursue and enhance his fitness knowledge with the study of Yoga and Panchakarma at Ayurveda Institution.
In 2007, he commenced his fitness instructor career in Fitness World Multi Gym kattappana kerala, India. He moved to Filitheyo Island Resorts Maldives for another three years filled with experience as a yoga and Pilate’s instructor. The ultimate career breakthrough came when he was offered to join hands with The Sun Siyam Iru Fushi Maldives. He filled several positions and paved his way up to the position of Fitness Manager where he helps to design and implement personalized exercise along with diet programs targeting specific conditions and concerns including obesity, arthritis and high cholesterol for the guests. Furthermore, he counsels members about fitness, exercise, health, and injury management.
He helps people to realize the importance of yoga in order to maintain a sound body and mind using his in-depth knowledge and understanding of yoga in the field of yoga practice. He develops musical playlists which is suitable and supportive for the level of class being instructed whilst ensuring a safe environment for those
taking part. In his teachings of various styles of yoga, including power yoga he supports the co-creation of a non-judgmental and fun environment so as to optimize learning. Experience ultimate yoga with Joji during the stay for yoga is known as the fountain of youth.
